In 1966, Catherine Filene Shouse donated the land and funds to build the Filene Center to the US government. Congress designated Wolf Trap Farm as Wolf Trap National Park for the Performing Arts. It has lived up to Shouse’s vision for over 50 years. Learn more

The private, non-profit Wolf Trap Foundation and the public National Park Service are partners in a unique marriage of arts and nature. NPS manages the pristine 117-acre park, as well as the grounds and building patrons enjoy when they come to see performances at the Filene Center. The Foundation oversees programming. Learn more
